In 2019 we made quite a few changes to our operations. The changes were for us to run more smoothly, but also to set expectations correctly. One of reasons why people love us besides our educational play concept is that we help break up the day by running activities. Activities can include, but not limited to arts and crafts or sensory play.
You can find out when activities are happening in our calendar. Usually Monday thur Friday.
The craft activity for the week is announced the week before via our social media. You can follow us on instagram or facebook to view those updates. We will alternate between this two crafts every week while supplies last, otherwise there will be a filler craft.
Sensory, Building or Game activities vary depending on the number of staff available and the ages of children in the play area at the time of scheduled activity.
We hope these changes in announcement and times of our activities will make your visit to Imagine Play more pleasant, but also we hope this will make our day to day operations a lot more consistent. See you soon for play.
In honor of the month of love we thought we would set up a cute place for the kiddos to gather for a play date. Welcome to our version of kids Parisian Tea Party. The kids get to have a Parisian experience of their own by sitting on a patio at a table for two overlooking the iconic Eiffel tower.
The table is adorned with a cake stand where they can enjoy some pastries.
How cute are these pretend macarons and muffins?
Of course, the highlight is enjoying tea in these teeny tiny china cups. We love the design on the cups and how they come with little inserts for a real life feel.
We also included some tea party dress up clothes, which includes a hat, gloves, necklace, and purse. The kids will feel fancy while they sip their drinks.
We love changing the play area every month. Come join us in visiting Paris and playing tea party.
The kids favorite time of the year and our favorite time because there is just so much cool holiday art projects out there. We had two weeks of winter art camp full of games, art projects, chocolate milk bar and we even ended with a jingle dance party.
The kids loved playing the suran wrap ball game. We rolled a dice and they go to unwrap the ball as many times as the dice landed on. They walked away with lots of fun prizes.
The kids painted winter inspired figures.
….but our favorite project during the first week camp was definity this balloon faces. They were so cute and the kids loved walking around with them.
The week after we made lantern penguins.
The kids decorated their very own Elf hat.
How creative are these kids with their Santa mask? 🙂
We even had a fun wheel spinning game that we created using an Advent calendar. They won lots of prizes there too.
We’re so happy to announce our new infant play area for kids 35 months and under.
If you remember, when we started in 2017 our infant area was in the front of our eating area. We situated it there so it would be separated from the main floor, but it was problematic because of it’s size and it’s openness.
Finally after a year we have resolved this issue by taking away our smaller party room and creating a true infant area.
The room includes a soft play castle as a nod to our infamous play castle on our main floor.
Items from the original infant area moved in too, such as our ball pool, building blocks, and walker toys. We included some riding toys such as a rocker and bouncer as well.
On the other side you’ll find a very baby friendly market cart and a table with some knob puzzles and magnets.
The room has turned out super cute and we love seeing families with little ones enjoy it. It’s about 90% complete. There are still some plans for more sensory friendly wall panels in the near future.
If you haven’t been in a while and you have a little one 35 months or under come and check out the new space. We’re excited for all the new changes come to Imagine Play in 2019.
Dinosaur Birthday Parties are roaring over here at Imagine Play. We especially love this one because it has a tutu theme, proving that all kids can love a dinosaur birthday party. The pink and green color scheme was fun to coordinate. We loved how well it turned out.
No themed party is complete without our beloved balloon arches. This party’s arch had pink, green, teal and yellow balloons.
The table decoration included felt dinosaurs and flowers.
Each seat got a dinosaur place setting and goodie bag.
We alternated between themed plates and solid color plates to pull in more coordinating colors and added some cake stands to give vary height levels to the decorations.
Our favorite item from the table decor was these dinosaur marquees. They are so cute!
Thanks to this cute Dino family for sharing their special day with us!
Here are some other cute ideas from for your dino party.
We had over 60 families come celebrate the new year with us over the weekend. It was so fun to give the kids a chance to ring in 2019 in their way. The day started with a noise maker craft. We stapled some beans in plates and they kids got to decorate them with stickers, gems and curly ribbon.
After, we let the kids play a spin game for prizes and enjoy a cookie and apple cider bar. You can see more of this on our video.
Then we danced, danced and danced! The kids joined in on some ribbon dancing, tambourine games, and freeze dancing, of course.
The kids received glow toys and had one final game where they simulated fireworks by stomping on bubble wrap. It was one of our favorite activities!
The grand finale was our balloon drop. We turned on some disco lights and did a countdown til noon! We had a blast and have to say it was one of our most enjoyed special events this year.
Happy Holidays! This year we celebrated the season with a Christmas Grinch Party. It was full of Christmas Hijinks! We started off with building Graham Cracker house, always a favorite holiday tradition with the kids favorite sweets.
After, we gathered onto the floor for storytime. Interactive storytime is one of our favorites. The staff loves acting out the stories, they are always funny and entertaining. This story in particular included taping hearts to the grinch’s chest, tying him up with ribbon and a white christmas balloon drop.
We also played several games which included decorating the grinch like a Christmas tree and a stealing ornaments off the tree game. You can see more of this game in our video.
We ended the party with a Christmas craft, where the kids made antler headbands and then a round of Christmas bingo.
This party was incredibly fun. We wish we could do more than one this year. Tune in the next year for another fun special event.
Imagine Play has done many character appearances in our play area and you can get one included in your birthday party package. The kids love seeing their favorite character at their birthday party. You can get ice princess, hawaiian princess, belle, catboy and more. If you are interested in booking a character, here’s what to expect during your party time.
The kids love hearing a story from the characters. We like doing interactive story time. They like to get the kids engaged by telling them a story and asking them questions to perk their interests.
Usually, they help the kids do a sing-a-long with some of their favorite songs. We love it when the kids hold hands and really get involved with the sing-a-long.
All the characters have different backgrounds and talents. Some of them like to teach a dance.
While others, do a snow trick.
Sometimes, they play a game such as freeze dance or parachute.
And then of course, we take lots of pictures.
About this time the party is pretty hungry, so while we wait to sing to the birthday child, the characters do a filler activity with the kids. It can be face painting, tattoos or a small craft.
The character usually stays to sing happy birthday and to finish up any last minute pictures with the guest of honor.
You can see more of our party packages on our website or email us for more details.
Check out this video of our ice princess in action.
Ho ho ho! It’s time to get into the holiday spirit with Santa’s Workshop Pretend Play. Our play area changes every month, December is the month to merry and we want all your little Elves to join us for some festive fun. They can even dress the part with our elf and santa hats.
The workshop has all the components any little elf would love.
We love these take apart and build toys. Your little one can build a plane, roadster or crane truck using a motorized drill and toddler friendly bolts and bits.
You can make a special deliver to Santa by mailing letters in our mailbox.
The kids can decorate the tree to their heart’s content by placing stick on ornaments on our felt tree. We have all types of ornaments like snowmen, candy canes and stockings. It’s much more than just decorating, it’s learning about shapes and objects.
The best thing about being in the North pole is being able to ride a reindeer. We have ones you can bounce on.
